An attractive new hub in the West Africa region: Burkina Faso is resolutely moving towards renewable energies. This is reflected in the Government's policy which has taken further steps to develop a legislation to encourage private-sector investment and to liberalize electricity generation and distribution. With an electricity access rate of 21% in 2017, the Burkina Faso Government aims to increase it to 45% by 2020. Hence its project to diversify energy sources, particularly with solar energy and electricity interconnection with countries in the sub-region, including Ghana and Ivory Coast. The country is open for more investment, partnership and technology cooperation in off-grid, storage and utility-scale developments.

Registration process: For more details on the agenda and registration of delegate(s), please contact the organizer. On the other hand, there are just a few remaining speaking slots available for the private sector as well as a couple of spaces for display stands.
