Job: Design Engineer for solar PV sought in Stellenbosch

A renewable energy developer is looking for Design Engineer for solar PV to join the team in Stellenbosch. The role requires someone who can design solar PV plants and essentially take charge of plant layouts and designs.

The ideal candidate needs to generate and maintain GIS maps, identify project sites through desktop and site assessments, and be responsible for designing high-impact solar PV, as well as manage external consultants in order to bring projects to life.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechatronic engineering

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in design engineering
• Experience designing minimum 1MW Solar PV projects
• Experience with GIS concepts and tools such as QGIS and Google Earth
• BEng qualification required
