India announces third winner of green hydrogen-based ammonia auction, with another super-low price
The latest winning bid follows a trend of prices below 60 rupees per kilogram
The state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India, which runs renewable energy auctions, has announced the third winner of the country’s inaugural green ammonia tender.
Renewables developer Oriana Power will supply Madhya Bharat Agro Products Limited (MBAPL) with 60,000 tonnes a year of NH3, at a price of 52.25 rupees per kilogram.
This is equivalent to around $596 per tonne of H2, falling between the bids of $641 per tonne and $591 per tonne achieved by the first two winners, ACME and NTPC respectively.
