US scientists push back as Trump eyes Greenland

An open letter organized by US-based researchers who work in Greenland opposes any takeover of the territory.

In the aftermath of the US military’s action to remove Nicolás Maduro, then-president of Venezuela, on 3 January, US President Donald Trump has reiterated that he is considering using “a range of options” to acquire Greenland, including use of the military, the White House has said.
